A Weight Has Been Lifted

We’ve just finished watching The Doctor’s Daughter and having enjoyed it feel that the Doctor Who future is looking rather bright.

As episodes go it was stupid, the premise was flawed and it was altogether hokey but you know what else it was? It was fun.

There was plenty of running around in corridors and we didn’t particularly feel for anyone but it wasn’t mired in any kind of pathetic attempt at a story arc.

If Moffatt keeps his side of the bargain and follows this sort of blueprint then Doctor Who will once again be fantastic!

  • Moffat may be as bad as Davies….

    From http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Time_Crash

When the Fifth Doctor asks if the Master “still has that rubbish beard,” the Tenth replies, “No … well, a wife.” Moffat confirmed it as a gay joke in Death Ray Magazine in 2008, when he proudly claimed “I’ve got the record for gay jokes. I’ve got the gayest joke of all time in Doctor Who – I’ve got the “beard” joke about the Master”. However, the presence of the joke does not necessarily confirm that the Master, himself, was gay.

  • Having just re-watched Time Crash, the joke fits quite well and is – mercifully – subtle.

I have every faith in Moffat.

    He’s Scottish you know?
