Meeting characters at different points in their time-lines. Ok, so we meet a guy with an eye patch who doesn’t like the Doctor much. In three weeks time we meet him again, as his younger self without the patch, and learn that The Doctor cost him his eye.

So now look at the River Song character. This is what is happening now (minus the eyepatch, obviously).

It would also be nice to see an animated or CG version of The Eleven Doctors, a good story line could come from that. I really enjoyed Infinite Quest and thought it worked really well.

Imagine it, voice actors, or where possible the original actors voicing animated versions of themselves at their peak. That would work wouldn’t it?

Also why don’t we get a new movie that’s on a separate time line (Star Trek style) and have it act as a reboot for the franchise?

Oh and let’s get another assistant in a kilt in there, yeah?

• TARDIS materialises in what looks like a stock classic era gravel pit. Oh, you think, a tribute to the classic series. But no! I turns out to actually be a gravel pit somewhere near Chorley.

• Less Londiff/Cardon. Oh come on, with the whole of space and time to play with, why keep returning to contemporary earth?
• Bring back The Doctor Donna. Even though I hate the Tate woman as a commediene, she was bloody good as an assistant.
• The Valeyard. The Thirteen-and-a-half Doctor needs to be re-introduced.
